CAN DATA Logger

Data logger for direct attachment to arbitrary CAN-networks for mobile recording of the CAN communication.

CAN MINI Datalogger is an extremely robust, compact data logger to record data traffic in CAN system. It can be used in automotive applications and features a memory capacity of up to 8 MByte. The data logger was especially designed for mobile, interruption-free longterm data aquisition. It is characterized by its low power consumption with an automatic "power down" and "wake up" function, its high memory capacity and its easy handling. To judge the timing on the CAN bus each received telegram is saved with a time stamp with an accuracy of 100us. Furthermore, the data logger features 4 freely configurable Hardware-ID-filters which allow selecting relevant telegrams already during the recording. Additionally event markers can be set by using an external trigger input or trigger pushbutton. Its unique power supply concept widely secures the logger against loss of temporar data caused by voltage drop as it occures e.g. when starting a car. Configuration of the data logger (CAN parameter, filter, etc.) and transfer of the recorded data to the PC is done by an easy to use Windows software which is included.
